Following up on yesterday’s cool cover by The Lemonheads, here’s another cover I like, this time by Puddle of Mudd.
In my opinion, the original Stones version of this can never be bested because Merry Clayton sings the greatest backing vocal ever recorded. That being said, I think Puddle of Mudd does a really good job covering this, in part because they don’t attempt to redo Merry’s part.
All along, all I’ve really wanted to be is a writer. So now I tell people that’s what I am, even though I haven’t earned a dime being a writer.
That being said, I’ll confess that once a day, every day, I wish I was still a musician. That was the one time in my life when I was cool.
